There is ample parking around the Union City BART station designed to fit the needs of every BART rider. The parking options options include:
Off Street Metered Parking
This is the best option for occasional BART riders. Parking in City Lot 1, the City’s Pay-by-Space Metered Parking lot offers 340 parking spaces at a cost of $0.50 per hour with a maximum cost of $3.00 per day.
On and Off Street Permit Parking
The most economical option for regular commuters, the City Station District Area S Permit, costs $120 per calendar quarter (or about $2.00 per business day). The Area S Permit offers unlimited parking at a fixed price in City Lot 2 and in on street locations close to the Union City BART station. Purchase S Permit Online.
On Street Metered Parking
On Street metered parking is available conveniently close to the BART station, Pay-and-Display Metered Parkingis provided primarily to ensure that parking is available for City residents, however, BART patrons may also use these spaces. Parking meters on Union Square and 11th Street cost $0.50 per hour with no daily maximum and are enforced from 8 AM to 8 PM Monday through Saturday. Cost conscious travelers are encouraged to use one of the other parking options.
BART Parking Lot
BART operates a parking lot the west side of the Union City BART Station entrance. A portion of the BART lot is reserved for BART parking permit holders during morning commute hours.
