Holiday Tree Collection
Once again, recycling of holiday trees will be easier than ever. Tri-CED will be collecting trees between December 26 and January 31. On your regular collection day, simply set your tree at the curb or place inside the green yard waste cart. Trees will be hauled to the compost facility, where they will be used to make beneficial mulch and compost
Congratulations to all who participated in the 2011 Recycling Poster Contest. This year's entries featured some colorful, creative and inspiring works of art. The contest was open to all students who live or go to school in Union City. Their award-winning work will be put on display in the community and help spread the word about the importance of recycling, reducing waste and protecting to the environment.
Keep drugs out of your sewer and away from the Bay. The Union Sanitary District encourages you to drop off your unwanted medicines at any one of several locations in the Tri-Cities area. Thank you for helping to protect the environment.
A new and simpler way of recycling is now available to Union City residents. All your recyclable materials - cans, bottles, newspapers, etc. - go into Tri-CED's large and easy-to-use rolling collection carts. Learn more about this new curbside recycling program.

Green House Calls are energy efficiency retrofits performed by professionally trained local youth Energy Specialists.
