shim shim shim
Summary: The data table and chart below provide comparisons with other cities in Alameda County as it pertains to City debt burden. As is the case in all cities, Union City residents support debt that is issued both by their City and special districts/agencies that provide services to the City.  This support is usually realized in the form of added property tax payments.  Union City is near the bottom third of the list when it comes to City Debt Burden (per capita) Attributable to the City, near the middle of the list when it comes to City Debt Burden (per capita) Attributable to Other Agencies, and near the bottom of the list when it comes to Total City Debt Burden (per capita).  Union City is very selective with its debt issuances and only proposes new debt if there is a critical need.
