  Summary:  The data table and chart below provide comparisons with other cities in Alameda County as it pertains parcels by Type.  As the data and chart show, Union City by and large is a bedroom community with a high % of residential parcels.  The new Union City Intermodal Station and surrounding business developments will help to bring businesses and jobs to Union City, but Union City will still remain for the most part a place where people live and not work.
