In an effort to provide customers with one-stop plan check service, the Building, Planning, and Fire Divisions have initiated a program to review selected plans over the counter.

While other cities in the area claim some form of "over-the-counter plan review," ours is a true one-stop program. No appointment, preliminary plan review, or "quick check" application form will be required. When an applicant comes to our counter with a complete submittal, and staff is present to do the review, our objective is to review the plans and issue the permit without taking it in for processing.

Over-the-counter plan review benefits the City, as well as the applicant, by reducing the amount of time staff spends routing plans, tracking plans, and responding to the applicant about plan check status.
