Parking Program

Print

As use of the Union City BART station has grown, the demand for parking has increased. Recently, BART began charging customers to park at station parking lots. As a result, commuter parking has overflowed into Union City residential and retail areas adjacent to the BART. To meet the increased need for parking, the City of Union City has:

  • Created Two New Parking Lots and a parking garage.
  • Introduced Parking Payment Machines and Quarterly Parking Permits
  • Created a Parking Enforcement Unit

These additional services will hopefully provide sufficient parking for BART commuters and help ensure that low-cost short-term parking is available for residents, nearby businesses and apartments.
