Residential Parking Restrictions & Residential Parking Permits

Some City residential areas located near schools or transportation centers have experienced parking congestion.  Parking restrictions have been established in neighborhoods where residents have petitioned the City Council to request that parking in their neighborhood be regulated to make more parking available local residents.

Four hour parking restrictions will be enforced Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM on the following streets in the Decoto neighborhood.  Parking enforcement begins April 1, 2012.

Residents living in restricted parking areas may purchase Residential Parking Permits that exempt their vehicles from the parking restrictions. Residential Parking Permits that are valid for a full year can be purchased at the City Hall cashier station during business hours at a cost of $11.00 for the first vehicle and $3.82 for up to two additional vehicles. Two removable guest permit placards may be purchased for $11.00 for the first guest permit and $3.82 for the second guest permit placard. Residents must show proof that they reside in a neighborhood where parking has been restricted (a recent utility bill is sufficient) and that all vehicles receiving Residential Parking Permits are also registered there (a copy of each vehicle’s registration is sufficient).  Proof is only needed for Residential Parking Permits.  Additional proof is not needed for any guest permit placards which are also purchased in conjunction with the primary Residential Parking Permits.
